TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (TPM)

Janitza LP is the North American arm of Janitza electronics GmbH, a leading German manufacturer of electrical power monitoring hardware and software. A family-owned business, we make hardware and software to measure and analyze power quality measures for our data center and industrial manufacturing customers. With our tools, companies can take action to reduce energy costs, improve uptime, and decrease their carbon footprint.

Our North American branch was established in 2018 and our team is growing quickly. We’re looking for a Senior Firmware Developer to develop complex software systems and components as well as developing drivers for embedded systems. What you are

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the TPM will join our team in North America supporting ongoing customer projects and programs. You’ll work closely with both the sales and operations teams to coordinate needs for customers with detailed and complex requirements. You demonstrate your expertise by working with all internal teams, tracking all projects, and being a primary interface point with those customers. You are familiar with all phases of these customers and help coordinate all internal activities to make these projects run efficiently.

Ideally, you’ll bring an organized and detailed approach to make sure all activity is tracked and communicated appropriately. You’ve proven you can work together with both internal teams and customer contacts to provide timely and effective execution of customer construction and retrofit projects.

Your tasks

  • Outline the requirements or tasks involved in the project, delegate, and track accordingly.
  • Act as a liaison between Janitza, program customers, integrated 3rd parties, and potentially, vendors.
  • Assist customers with the configuration and setup of Janitza hardware and software.
  • Assess and escalate customer feedback as required. Provide evaluation and assessment of new customer requirements in relation to current or historical needs.
  • Conduct risk assessments for any technical or logistical issues; report identified risks to management and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Conduct cost and profit analysis, supporting the finance and management team with reporting related to designated program customers.
  • Work effectively in a customer-facing position within a team environment.
  • Travel up to 35%.

 

Your profile

  • Qualifications include:
    • College degree or technical diploma.
    • Knowledge and experience in typical mission-critical and industrial customer electrical applications; experience with Janitza product portfolio and metering applications (or similar).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to maximize internal tools for collaboration.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Experience working with end customers.
    • Ability to communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience working with end users in various market segments and environments.
    • Experience navigating internal company teams and business units to achieve a maximum positive and efficient result for the assigned customers.
